After a defensive mix-up in Sutton Valence FC's zone, Bobby Walker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jack Norton came out of the goal and Bobby Walker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Bobby Walker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jack Norton was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. After 7 played minutes Sutton Valence FC got a freekick which was hit by Sean Hislop. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dom Partridge in the 8th minute of play forced Sutton Valence FC's goalkeeper Jack Norton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute of the match, Patrick Laurie tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Seth Talbot saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bobby Walker couldn't finish the play. Freddie Jackson charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Freddie Jackson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th minute, Freddie Jackson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dom Partridge came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Winchester FC fans jumped to their feet. Jack Norton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bobby Walker in the 72nd minute of the match. Tommy Summers hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, Sutton Valence FC's goal looked a bit too open when Calvin Walls came free, but Jack Norton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bobby Walker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sutton Valence FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bobby Walker 83 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. If Dom Partridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jack Norton made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Calvin Walls sent off a good shot on target. Winchester FC's Dom Partridge got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Winchester FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sutton Valence FC throughout the match.
