Simon Stockley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ash Beckford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Rowan Cook's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bartosz Soliwoda was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 35th minute, Fitz Bloom made a precise shot to the right of Simon Stockley. FC Manchester's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in FC Manchester's zone, Phillip Armitstead stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Stockley came out of the goal and Phillip Armitstead tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 40 minutes into the game, Anfield Elite's Phillip Armitstead nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Simon Stockley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Simon Stockley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zak Henman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, Phillip Armitstead had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simon Stockley. FC Manchester's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Phillip Armitstead was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Phillip Armitstead made a kick off. Zak Henman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Simon Stockley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 played minutes FC Manchester got a freekick which was hit by Jim Bray. In the 66th minute, Ash Beckford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to FC Manchester getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Rowan Cook hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the game, Zak Henman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Anfield Elite's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Manchester the free kick. After 71 played minutes Anfield Elite got a freekick which was hit by Zak Henman. After 75 played minutes Anfield Elite got a freekick which was hit by Fitz Bloom. Rowan Cook got his second yellow card in the match during the 76th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, FC Manchester's Rowan Cook got a free kick in the 77th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Manchester's zone, Phillip Armitstead stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Stockley came out of the goal and Phillip Armitstead tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Manchester's Simon Stockley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Manchester from getting a goal against them. 88 minutes into the match, FC Manchester's goal looked a bit too open when Phillip Armitstead came free, but Simon Stockley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fitz Bloom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Anfield Elite left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Manchester.
