Anfield Elite's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phillip Armitstead was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fitz Bloom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rdth minute of the game Arthur Reindahl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Anfield Elite's Bartosz Soliwoda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th minute Fitz Bloom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alisson Stegen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phillip Armitstead blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alisson Stegen having to make a save. Anfield Elite's Bartosz Soliwoda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur Reindahl in the 29th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
