Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Patrick Laurie made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Sutton Valence FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lenny Halliday came free, but Jack Norton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrick Laurie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derek Atkinson having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Richie Mahon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Black Universe's supporters rose to their feet, but Richie Mahon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jack Norton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kris Cornforth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Jack Norton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jack Norton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lenny Halliday, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When Alexander Weeks fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Black Universe's protests and gave Alexander Weeks a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Black Universe's Alexander Weeks got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 24th match minute, Sutton Valence FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bobby Evans to maneuver through the defense. After 29 played minutes Sutton Valence FC got a freekick which was hit by Sean Hislop. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Kris Cornforth put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jack Norton. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sutton Valence FC's goalkeeper Jack Norton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 35 minutes of play, Black Universe's Kris Cornforth made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jack Norton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lenny Halliday struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Jack Norton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Black Universe. 41 minutes into the game, Lenny Halliday cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Jack Norton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bobby Evans's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Derek Atkinson firmly grabbed it by the left post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kris Cornforth to make the kick off. Callum Swains short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Jack Norton to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Derek Atkinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Laurie, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Black Universe's zone, Bobby Evans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Derek Atkinson came out of the goal and Bobby Evans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexander Weeks was shown his second yellow card after 57 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Derek Atkinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Laurie, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute Sutton Valence FC were awarded a corner. Roger Clarke went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Roger Clarke got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Derek Atkinson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jack Norton made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Lenny Halliday sent off a good shot on target. If Richie Mahon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Callum Swain came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Black Universe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Callum Swain couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Sutton Valence FC's Tommy Summers got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Lenny Halliday might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jack Norton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lenny Halliday ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 81 minutes, Richie Mahon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Black Universe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richie Mahon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jack Norton made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Lenny Halliday sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Black Universe's Richie Mahon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jack Norton. That made the score 0-4 after 84 minutes of play. Lenny Halliday received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Jack Norton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Richie Mahon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jack Norton. That made the score 0-5 in the 89 minute of play. Black Universe's Derek Atkinson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Laurie in the 94th minute of play.
