Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Don Tisdale made the kick off which started today's match. Phillip Armitstead's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sonny Pack read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 2nd minute of play. Bartosz Soliwoda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Hargraves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sonny Pack didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zak Henman went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Phillip Armitstead scored 0-2 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sonny Pack, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 11 minutes into the match, Anfield Elite's goal looked a bit too open when Don Tisdale came free, but Bartosz Soliwoda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dave Hargraves charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dave Hargraves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Eastbourne Rovers getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Dave Hargraves hit a great ball. Phillip Armitstead scored 0-3 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sonny Pack, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anfield Elite's Zak Henman got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sonny Pack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danny Prior in the 22nd minute of the match. Anfield Elite's Bartosz Soliwoda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Anfield Elite from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Eastbourne Rovers booed when Anfield Elite was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danny Prior didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zak Henman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Pack having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Phillip Armitstead had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sonny Pack. Eastbourne Rovers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Phillip Armitstead was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Anfield Elite's Fitz Bloom got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zak Henman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Pack having to interfere. Fitz Bloom struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Sonny Pack didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anfield Elite. After having played for 40 minutes, Fitz Bloom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anfield Elite's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fitz Bloom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Phillip Armitstead recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sonny Pack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominic Beckwith in the 47th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Eastbourne Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Phillip Armitstead came free, but Sonny Pack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Phillip Armitstead to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Allan Collier in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bartosz Soliwoda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 53 minutes into the match, Zak Henman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sonny Pack, 0-5. Fitz Bloom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Eastbourne Rovers's Sonny Pack got control of the ball when Zak Henman tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Don Tisdale in the 60th minute of play forced Anfield Elite's goalkeeper Bartosz Soliwoda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sonny Pack made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Thomas Younger sent off a good shot on target. Thomas Younger took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sonny Pack. Sonny Pack dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Phillip Armitstead took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Sonny Pack to make any attempt to save it. Zak Henman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Pack having to interfere. Stefan Longthorn kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Anfield Elite's Thomas Younger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sonny Pack narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 77 minutes into the game, Zak Henman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Sonny Pack was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thomas Younger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Pack having to interfere. Will Blair kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Sonny Pack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Younger in the 87th minute of play. Phillip Armitstead recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anfield Elite's Bartosz Soliwoda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Collier in the 92nd minute of play. Anfield Elite played a much better game than Eastbourne Rovers and deserved their victory. The Eastbourne Rovers players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
