Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute, Mitch Albright hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Eastbourne Rovers's zone, Lance Robertson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sonny Pack came out of the goal and Lance Robertson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Perry Rayner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Sonny Pack made a huge save. 9 minutes into the match, Wadebridge's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Collier came free, but Andre Champion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Wadebridge getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Harvey Gray hit a great ball. In the 13th minute Don Tisdale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andre Champion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andre Champion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Hargraves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Max Strickland fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wadebridge's protests and gave Max Strickland a yellow card for diving instead. Max Strickland hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Sonny Pack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lance Robertson, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After a rather tough play, Eastbourne Rovers's Will Blair got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Darren Cousens hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Mitch Albright hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Don Tisdale in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andre Champion saved Wadebridge from getting behind. Don Tisdale took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andre Champion. Andre Champion dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Andre Champion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Hargraves in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Derek Brindley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eastbourne Rovers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After the first half Eastbourne Rovers were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Andre Champion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Don Tisdale in the 53rd minute of play. Sonny Pack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perry Rayner in the 55th minute of the match. If Perry Rayner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lance Robertson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Pack having to interfere. A collision led to Eastbourne Rovers getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Dave Hargraves hit a great ball. Andre Champion was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Don Tisdale showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 64 minute of play. Don Tisdale took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andre Champion. Andre Champion dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Allan Collier charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Allan Collier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 88 played minutes Eastbourne Rovers got a freekick which was hit by Allan Collier. Perry Rayner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Pack having to interfere. Andre Champion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Tisdale, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Don Tisdale in the 96th minute of play forced Wadebridge's goalkeeper Andre Champion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
