In the 14th minute Xaver Pidrola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jack Norton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sutton Valence FC's zone, Xaver Pidrola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jack Norton came out of the goal and Xaver Pidrola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th match minute, Manchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ollie Falkingham to maneuver through the defense. Jack Norton was a little too slow when Gordan Katalenić got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-0. Manchester United's Gordan Katalenić got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xaver Pidrola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jack Norton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Xaver Pidrola managed to get in a good position for a shot. With a little luck, Sutton Valence FC's Jack Norton got control of the ball when Johnathan Ruddock tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Sutton Valence FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Patrick Laurie hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Jack Norton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johnathan Ruddock went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score.
