Spectators: 7343 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1833, VIP seats: 10) Carlin How Unite's Huey Dawson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Rowan Cook got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicky Bensley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pete Mansell, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Pete Mansell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicky Bensley having to interfere. In the 11th match minute, Carlin How Unite was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronnie Kershaw to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Carlin How Unite's zone, Rowan Cook stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicky Bensley came out of the goal and Rowan Cook tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jim Bray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlin How Unite's Nicky Bensley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pete Mansell in the 15th minute of play. Rowan Cook recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Carlin How Unite defense, Rowan Cook kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicky Bensley. The Carlin How Unite fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicky Bensley should have stopped the shot. FC Manchester's Pete Mansell got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicky Bensley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rowan Cook in the 26th minute of play. Pete Mansell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Nicky Bensley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Manchester booed when Carlin How Unite was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Smikle didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Pete Mansell managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Manchester's supporters rose to their feet, but Pete Mansell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicky Bensley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 39 minutes into the match, Rowan Cook notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Carlin How Unite's Nicky Bensley. Nicky Bensley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rowan Cook in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicky Bensley saved Carlin How Unite from getting behind. Nicky Bensley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rowan Cook went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Rowan Cook in the 58th minute of play forced Carlin How Unite's goalkeeper Nicky Bensley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Pete Mansell came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the FC Manchester fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pete Mansell couldn't finish the play. Pete Mansell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Nicky Bensley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlin How Unite's Nicky Bensley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Carlin How Unite from getting a goal against them. Jim Bray took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicky Bensley. Nicky Bensley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Rowan Cook fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicky Bensley having to interfere. FC Manchester's Pete Mansell got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Manchester's Simon Stockley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Bensley in the 80th minute of play. Jonathan Smikle's late challenge caught a FC Manchester's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Smikle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd minute, Jonathan Smikle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rowan Cook received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Nicky Bensley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute Ash Beckford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicky Bensley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 minutes of play, FC Manchester's Rowan Cook made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicky Bensley was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Rowan Cook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rowan Cook in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicky Bensley saved Carlin How Unite from getting behind. 94 minutes into the match, Carlin How Unite's goal looked a bit too open when Pete Mansell came free, but Nicky Bensley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 94 played minutes Carlin How Unite got a freekick which was hit by Huey Dawson. The Carlin How Unite fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Manchester were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
