In the 10th minute of the match, Gez Rain tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Drew Pointon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Drew Pointon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gez Rain in the 14th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Brinklow United's goalkeeper Drew Pointon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thom Dixon. Neil Doona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavin Waltham in the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of Brinklow United booed when Batley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reuben Anson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th match minute, Brinklow United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenny Bayford to maneuver through the defense. Drew Pointon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gez Rain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Barney Mason got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Kinsey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Drew Pointon made a huge save. Drew Pointon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gez Rain in the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Kenny Bayford made a precise shot to the right of Neil Doona. Batley's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 33rd minute, Daniel Kinsey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Drew Pointon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. A collision led to Batley getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Rob Connery hit a great ball. After 38 minutes, Robert Waddington mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Batley and the Brinklow United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th minute, Barney Mason got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Drew Pointon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gez Rain in the 43rd minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gez Rain to strike the kick off in the second half. Drew Pointon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grant Corcoran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Drew Pointon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Kinsey went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Drew Pointon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gez Rain in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Thom Dixon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Batley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grant Corcoran in the 65th minute of play forced Brinklow United's goalkeeper Drew Pointon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Drew Pointon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thom Dixon, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grant Corcoran in the 71st minute of play forced Brinklow United's goalkeeper Drew Pointon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Drew Pointon came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Batley's Gez Rain. But to his dismay, Gez Rain quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Grant Corcoran scored 5-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Drew Pointon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Drew Pointon came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Batley's Daniel Kinsey. But to his dismay, Daniel Kinsey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. 88 minutes into the game, Damion Colbert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brinklow United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Batley the free kick. Damion Colbert hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Rob Connery hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute Gez Rain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Drew Pointon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barney Mason's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Neil Doona read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.
