In the 8th minute, Blair Speight ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jordan Blackwood was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Blair Speight received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Jordan Blackwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kev Francis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18thth minute of the game Conal Windsor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zyerpaus's Jay Harris was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Blair Speight managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zyerpaus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blair Speight was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jordan Blackwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damon Gulliver in the 26th minute of play. Wesley Mortimer took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jay Harris. Jay Harris dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jay Harris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Toovey in the 31st minute of the match. A collision led to Renton United getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Conal Windsor hit a great ball. Damon Gulliver blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jordan Blackwood having to make a save. Kev Francis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blair Speight fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordan Blackwood having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute of the game, Rick Croyden landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Fred Toovey fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Renton United's protests and gave Fred Toovey a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Renton United getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Fred Toovey hit a great ball. Blair Speight fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordan Blackwood having to interfere. When Kev Francis came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Zyerpaus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kev Francis couldn't finish the play. Kev Francis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Zyerpaus booed when Renton United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley Mortimer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camron Hird kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sid Merris in the 63rd minute of play forced Zyerpaus's goalkeeper Jay Harris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jay Harris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Conal Windsor's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Jay Harris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Mortimer in the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Conal Windsor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fred Toovey got his second yellow card in the match during the 71st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Fred Toovey hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Wesley Mortimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jay Harris having to interfere. Joey Reading received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Jordan Blackwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, Renton United's Grant Duff nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jay Harris made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Renton United's Wesley Mortimer got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Conal Windsor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Renton United's Wesley Mortimer suffered a concussion after 86 minutes and had to leave the field. 86 minutes into the game, Joey Reading was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zyerpaus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Renton United the free kick. After 87 played minutes Zyerpaus got a freekick which was hit by Joey Reading. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Kev Francis put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Jordan Blackwood. Kev Francis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordan Blackwood having to interfere. With a little luck, Renton United's Jordan Blackwood got control of the ball when Blair Speight tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Joey Reading had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zyerpaus played a much better game than Renton United and deserved their victory. The Renton United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
