In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Superbad's goalkeeper Anthony Cawood, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Renton United's Wesley Mortimer got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gio van Bronckhorst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Jordan Blackwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Superbad booed when Renton United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sid Merris didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conal Windsor in the 26th minute of play forced Superbad's goalkeeper Anthony Cawood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anthony Cawood came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Renton United's Wesley Mortimer. But to his dismay, Wesley Mortimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ralph Hargrave received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jordan Blackwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Grzegorz Bonin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Glyn Bridgeworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes in the game, Wesley Mortimer fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Anthony Cawood having to interfere. Ralph Hargrave received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Jordan Blackwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renton United's Jordan Blackwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glyn Bridgeworth in the 68th minute of play. Fred Toovey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Anthony Cawood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anthony Cawood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wesley Mortimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute, Wesley Mortimer fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesley Mortimer in the 82nd minute of play forced Superbad's goalkeeper Anthony Cawood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th match minute, Superbad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gio van Bronckhorst to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle went the supporters of Renton United were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Superbad side.
