Spectators: 7455 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1855, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gez Rain started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, Zyerpaus's Jay Harris got control of the ball when Reuben Anson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jay Harris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gez Rain in the 14th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Dom Whittaker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Batley's Thom Dixon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jay Harris. Jay Harris yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After having played for 26 minutes, Damon Gulliver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zyerpaus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damon Gulliver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kev Francis in the 28th minute of play forced Batley's goalkeeper Neil Doona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jay Harris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gez Rain's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Jay Harris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thom Dixon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zyerpaus's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Daniel Kinsey scored to the left of an out of position Jay Harris, making the score, 2-0. When Grant Corcoran fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Batley's protests and gave Grant Corcoran a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th minute, Grant Corcoran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute Blair Speight shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neil Doona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Reuben Anson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gez Rain in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jay Harris saved Zyerpaus from getting behind. Jay Harris was a little too slow when Gez Rain got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 3-0. Blair Speight's late challenge caught a Batley's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blair Speight helped the player get up and apologised. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Blair Speight made the kick off in the second half. Zyerpaus's Jay Harris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Waddington in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Robert Waddington left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Batley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After having played for 56 minutes, Grant Corcoran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Batley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grant Corcoran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gez Rain took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jay Harris. Jay Harris dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After 63 minutes of play, Batley's Gez Rain made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jay Harris was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zyerpaus's Jay Harris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gez Rain in the 66th minute of play. Thom Dixon kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 68th match minute, Zyerpaus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blair Speight to maneuver through the defense. After 70 minutes of play Batley's Thom Dixon was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Thom Dixon kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Blair Speight shot from long distance in the 72nd minute, but Neil Doona was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Jay Harris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Kinsey in the 74th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Zyerpaus defense, Daniel Kinsey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jay Harris. The Zyerpaus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jay Harris should have stopped the shot. Jay Harris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grant Corcoran, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gez Rain in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jay Harris saved Zyerpaus from getting behind.
