Nottingham Forest's Sebastian Cummings got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Greg Kirkpatrick charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Greg Kirkpatrick the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 7 played minutes Chelsea got a freekick which was hit by Greg Kirkpatrick. Nottingham Forest's Sebastian Cummings got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dylon Kershaw kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Nottingham Forest's Sebastian Cummings sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Beinn Meadowcroft narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 11 minutes into the game, Sebastian Cummings recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Beinn Meadowcroft. Sebastian Cummings showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Blair Eagles fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nottingham Forest's protests and gave Blair Eagles a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Blair Eagles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 20 played minutes Chelsea got a freekick which was hit by Dylon Kershaw. After a defensive mix-up in Chelsea's zone, Sebastian Cummings stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beinn Meadowcroft came out of the goal and Sebastian Cummings tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Beinn Meadowcroft was a little too slow when Rhys Rain got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 32nd minute, Nottingham Forest's Rhys Rain ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Beinn Meadowcroft. Beinn Meadowcroft yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. After a rather tough play, Chelsea's Dylon Kershaw got a free kick in the 39th minute. Beinn Meadowcroft showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rhys Rain in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Nottingham Forest's Rhys Rain ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Beinn Meadowcroft. Beinn Meadowcroft yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeff Brighton made a kick off. After some careless play in the Chelsea defense, Rhys Rain kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Beinn Meadowcroft. The Chelsea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Beinn Meadowcroft should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Chelsea's zone, Sebastian Cummings stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beinn Meadowcroft came out of the goal and Sebastian Cummings tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Broadhurst in the 59th minute of play forced Chelsea's goalkeeper Beinn Meadowcroft to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Chelsea's goal looked a bit too open when Alf Broadhurst came free, but Beinn Meadowcroft reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeff Brighton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Warren Bolton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Speight to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Jeff Brighton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Cummings received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Beinn Meadowcroft tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Cummings's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beinn Meadowcroft read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rhys Rain's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Beinn Meadowcroft was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Sebastian Cummings sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Alf Broadhurst notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Chelsea's Beinn Meadowcroft. Beinn Meadowcroft was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 90th minute Sebastian Cummings shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beinn Meadowcroft saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beinn Meadowcroft showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavin Nelson in the 91st minute of the match. 93 minutes into the game, Nottingham Forest's Rhys Rain nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Beinn Meadowcroft made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. After 97 minutes, Sebastian Cummings mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nottingham Forest and the Chelsea players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Chelsea booed when Nottingham Forest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Cummings didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nottingham Forest walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
