Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jermaine Houghton kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jermaine Houghton in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jordan Blackwood prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 5th minute, Wesley Mortimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th minute Jermaine Houghton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jordan Blackwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Renton United getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Grant Duff hit a great ball. Glenn Bryant took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jordan Blackwood. Renton United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fred Toovey kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Renton United's Jordan Blackwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doug Wagstaff in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Renton United's goal looked a bit too open when Jermaine Houghton came free, but Jordan Blackwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Doug Wagstaff notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Renton United's Jordan Blackwood. Jordan Blackwood was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute, Jermaine Houghton made a precise shot to the right of Jordan Blackwood. Renton United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Wesley Mortimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wesley Mortimer struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Joey Etherington didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Renton United. Fred Toovey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joey Etherington having to interfere. Wesley Mortimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joey Etherington having to interfere. If Doug Wagstaff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jordan Blackwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jermaine Houghton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wesley Mortimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Renton United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norman Burns to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Renton United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Doug Wagstaff fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 59 played minutes Renton United got a freekick which was hit by Grant Duff. In the 68th match minute, Heathrow FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benji Jones to maneuver through the defense. Doug Wagstaff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Renton United getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Matthew Bartlett hit a great ball. In the 75th minute of the match Heathrow FC got a corner. Renton United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Glenn Bryant ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Ethan Lodge managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Doug Wagstaff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Jordan Blackwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jermaine Houghton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jordan Blackwood having to make a save. Fred Toovey's late challenge caught a Heathrow FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fred Toovey helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Renton United's Fred Toovey got a free kick in the 80th minute. Glenn Bryant, 81 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jermaine Houghton in the 84th minute of play forced Renton United's goalkeeper Jordan Blackwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wesley Mortimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Joey Etherington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Renton United booed when Heathrow FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benji Jones didn't get a good kick on the ball. The nice shot from Doug Wagstaff in the 91stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Jordan Blackwood had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. If Jermaine Houghton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Heathrow FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Heathrow FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
