With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joey Etherington prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doug Wagstaff got free with Richard Purvis in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Heathrow FC booed when Surbiton 17 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Carragher didn't get a good kick on the ball. Surbiton 17's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Richard Purvis came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Heathrow FC's Jermaine Houghton. But to his dismay, Jermaine Houghton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0.
