Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gez Rain made the kick off and thus started the match. Rick Croyden hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute, Thom Dixon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Batley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Robert Waddington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With 13 minutes on the clock, Rick Croyden commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 16th minute, Grant Corcoran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Batley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Thom Dixon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batley's supporters rose to their feet, but Thom Dixon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jay Harris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 0-3 became the score in the 24th minute when Gez Rain elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Zyerpaus's Jay Harris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grant Corcoran in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gez Rain in the 30th minute of play forced Zyerpaus's goalkeeper Jay Harris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jay Harris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gez Rain in the 32nd minute of play. Jay Harris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Kinsey in the 34th minute of the match. Gez Rain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jay Harris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jay Harris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thom Dixon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grant Corcoran in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jay Harris prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jay Harris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gez Rain in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Batley's Daniel Kinsey got a free kick in the 48th minute. After the first half Batley were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Blair Speight made a kick off. Batley's Neil Doona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joey Reading in the 56th minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Robert Waddington was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Batley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zyerpaus the free kick. After a rather tough play, Batley's Robert Waddington got a free kick in the 57th minute. If Robert Waddington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zyerpaus's Jay Harris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Zyerpaus from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Gez Rain's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jay Harris was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Jay Harris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gez Rain, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Jay Harris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thom Dixon in the 73rd minute of play. Grant Corcoran who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Jay Harris when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Zyerpaus's Kev Francis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Iain Wiltshire in the 78 minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Grant Corcoran got free with Jay Harris in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jay Harris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gez Rain in the 83rd minute of play. After 84 minutes, Kev Francis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zyerpaus and the Batley players grew even worse after the yellow card. Reuben Anson's late challenge caught a Zyerpaus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reuben Anson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Batley's Reuben Anson got a free kick in the 88th minute. Jay Harris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gez Rain in the 94th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Grant Corcoran got free with Jay Harris in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Grant Corcoran had several of the Zyerpaus's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 95 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-6 score and a disappointed Jay Harris as he didn't even see the shot coming. Batley played a much better game than Zyerpaus and deserved their victory. The Zyerpaus players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
