Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 159) In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tynemouth Wanderers's goalkeeper Brown Jackson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Tynemouth Wanderers:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chelsea:s goal. In the 12th minute, Pat Chalk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th minute, Christian England hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Les Hayles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tynemouth Wanderers's John-Paul Amos got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beinn Meadowcroft made an important save on a dangerous shot by John-Paul Amos in the 21st minute. Wes Welch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Tynemouth Wanderers booed when Chelsea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dylon Kershaw didn't get a good kick on the ball. Les Hayles scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Beinn Meadowcroft, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Chelsea's goalkeeper Beinn Meadowcroft had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by John-Paul Amos. Wes Welch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Beinn Meadowcroft tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, John-Paul Amos put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Beinn Meadowcroft. Brown Jackson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dylon Kershaw in the 40th minute of the match. John-Paul Amos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Beinn Meadowcroft tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Tynemouth Wanderers's John-Paul Amos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when John-Paul Amos made the kick off in the second half. John-Paul Amos scored 4-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Beinn Meadowcroft, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Chelsea defense, John-Paul Amos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Beinn Meadowcroft. The Chelsea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Beinn Meadowcroft should have stopped the shot. John-Paul Amos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Beinn Meadowcroft tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Greg Kirkpatrick hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. When Wes Welch came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Tynemouth Wanderers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wes Welch couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reggie Stewart got free with Brown Jackson in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th minute, John-Paul Amos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 68th match minute, Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian England to maneuver through the defense. When Tynemouth Wanderers's Wes Welch in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chelsea's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Wes Welch put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Beinn Meadowcroft. In the 76th minute, Les Hayles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Chelsea defense, Wes Welch kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Beinn Meadowcroft. The Chelsea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Beinn Meadowcroft should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute, Liam Roche made a precise shot to the right of Beinn Meadowcroft. Chelsea's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-1. The supporters of Chelsea booed when Tynemouth Wanderers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wes Welch didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Liam Roche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liam Roche recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Dylon Kershaw fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chelsea's protests and gave Dylon Kershaw a yellow card for diving instead. After 95 played minutes Chelsea got a freekick which was hit by Dylon Kershaw.
