The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paddy Thackray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Quiros in the 12th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, Outwood FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Corcoran to maneuver through the defense. Paddy Thackray made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ozzy Milton in the 21st minute. The supporters of Outwood FC booed when Bristol Totterdown AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nath Rushforth didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute Liam Panther shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Udalaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Outwood FC's Paddy Thackray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Quiros in the 27th minute of play. Arsenio Udalaitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liam Panther in the 29th minute of the match. If Rueben Osborn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ozzy Milton got free with Paddy Thackray in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute, Outwood FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ozzy Milton fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 53 played minutes Outwood FC got a freekick which was hit by Michael Corcoran. Raul Quiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Paddy Thackray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Ozzy Milton notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Outwood FC's Paddy Thackray. Paddy Thackray was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 60th minute, Raul Quiros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paddy Thackray was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Ozzy Milton struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Paddy Thackray didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bristol Totterdown AFC. Liam Panther struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Arsenio Udalaitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Outwood FC. 72 minutes into the match, Outwood FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ozzy Milton came free, but Paddy Thackray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arsenio Udalaitz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Liam Panther went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Bristol Totterdown AFC's Ozzy Milton got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ozzy Milton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paddy Thackray having to interfere. When Ozzy Milton came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Bristol Totterdown AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ozzy Milton couldn't finish the play. After having played for 85 minutes, Franz Burrows managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bristol Totterdown AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franz Burrows was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90thth minute of the game Ozzy Milton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Outwood FC's Paddy Thackray was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
