The referee ignored Real Brid's protests and gave Keith Dudgeon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Juventus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tosh Butters to maneuver through the defense. Bryan Short sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rupert Blacknell in the 24th minute of play forced Real Brid's goalkeeper Giles Gale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giles Gale came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Juventus's Rupert Blacknell. But to his dismay, Rupert Blacknell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Ronnie Eastham fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Brid's protests and gave Ronnie Eastham a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st match minute, Real Brid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronnie Eastham to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, Real Brid's goal looked a bit too open when Rupert Blacknell came free, but Giles Gale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Grant Couzens cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Giles Gale was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a little luck, Real Brid's Giles Gale got control of the ball when Rupert Blacknell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Giles Gale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rupert Blacknell in the 53rd minute. Giles Gale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grant Couzens in the 61st minute of the match. Phillip Gettins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Phillip Gettins came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Real Brid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phillip Gettins couldn't finish the play. Bryan Short received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Giles Gale came out and tried to block the shot, but Bryan Short slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 70th minute. Rupert Blacknell struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Giles Gale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juventus. Matthew Renwick hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Giles Gale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rupert Blacknell in the 78th minute. Thom Daly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phillip Gettins in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Real Brid's Matthew Renwick seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Matthew Renwick the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Real Brid protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Matthew Renwick had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Real Brid getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Matthew Renwick hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the game, Rupert Blacknell lined in a short shot 0-6 behind a frustrated Giles Gale. Giles Gale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rupert Blacknell, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Juventus's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
