After 6 played minutes Real Brid got a freekick which was hit by Matthew Renwick. A throw-in in the 8th minute of the game was made by Pierce Topham with Phillip Gettins as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Oscar Armitage's late challenge caught a Real Brid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oscar Armitage helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Real Brid booed when Bulwell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Armitage didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Frazer Odell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bulwell's supporters rose to their feet, but Frazer Odell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giles Gale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Phillip Gettins took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ben Gaskell to make any attempt to save it. Real Brid's Giles Gale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ty Kellaway in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the game Pierce Topham made a throw-in which Phillip Gettins played forward. Ty Kellaway struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Giles Gale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bulwell. Ty Kellaway sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Real Brid's Giles Gale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ty Kellaway in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Real Brid's goal looked a bit too open when Frazer Odell came free, but Giles Gale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Real Brid booed when Bulwell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stew Fenwick didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Phillip Gettins made a kick off. Giles Gale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ty Kellaway, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giles Gale was a little too slow when Ty Kellaway got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 1-1. The supporters of Bulwell booed when Real Brid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthew Renwick didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Real Brid getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Carlton Stonebridge hit a great ball. Giles Gale made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Ty Kellaway sent off a good shot on target. 68 minutes into the game, Carlton Stonebridge cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Ben Gaskell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 73rd minute Ronnie Eastham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ben Gaskell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ty Kellaway in the 79th minute of play forced Real Brid's goalkeeper Giles Gale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giles Gale was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Ty Kellaway capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ty Kellaway really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. After having played for 92 minutes, Phillip Gettins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Brid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phillip Gettins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giles Gale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ty Kellaway, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
