When Ritchie Knight-Percival fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Killer Giants FC's protests and gave Ritchie Knight-Percival a yellow card for diving instead. Ritchie Knight-Percival hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Killer Giants FC's zone, Conal Gray stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noel Bullock came out of the goal and Conal Gray tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the match, Ambleside's goal looked a bit too open when Dom Mills came free, but Shane Ruddock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Luke Lee-Barrett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Ambleside's Damian Patterson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jack Carey-Bertram received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Noel Bullock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Ambleside's goal looked a bit too open when Trey Ely came free, but Shane Ruddock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27thth minute of the game Conal Gray who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Killer Giants FC's Noel Bullock was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kevin Hedges's late challenge caught a Killer Giants FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kevin Hedges helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ambleside fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! Shane Ruddock had in the 31stth minute some difficulties stopping Felix Pope's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Felix Pope scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Shane Ruddock, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Shane Ruddock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ritchie Knight-Percival in the 39th minute of the match. Conal Gray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Bullock having to interfere. In the 43rd minute of the match, Conal Gray tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Noel Bullock saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ambleside's Rory Bowler pulled a muscle in his leg after 45 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The wind increased when Conal Gray made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Ambleside booed when Killer Giants FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Griffiths didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute Aaron Griffiths shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shane Ruddock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Jack Carey-Bertram managed to get in a good position for a shot. Noel Bullock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 68 minutes, Damian Patterson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ambleside's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damian Patterson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Noel Bullock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conal Gray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conal Gray took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Noel Bullock. Noel Bullock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Ambleside's Rufus Woolford quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Vincent Allison, made in the 89th minute of the game. Kevin Hedges hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The long shot by Felix Pope in the 92nd minute really tested Shane Ruddock's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ambleside's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Aaron Griffiths scored to the left of an out of position Shane Ruddock, making the score, 1-2. When the final whistle went the supporters of Killer Giants FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Ambleside side.
