The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John Paul Croft in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dominik Hunter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 6 minutes, John Paul Croft made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Manchester Devils's Dominik Hunter tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gavin Snowdon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Manchester Devils's Sacha Kerr in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 35th play minute Bart Lappin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fitz Parkinson. 1-1. Sacha Kerr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fitz Parkinson made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Bart Lappin sent off a good shot on target. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when John Paul Croft made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match Camron Kempson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fitz Parkinson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 60th minute, GKS Diament's Johnny Forrest seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Johnny Forrest the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of GKS Diament protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Johnny Forrest had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 59 minutes into the game, one of GKS Diament:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Manchester Devils. Brynn Kessler stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fitz Parkinson. 2-1. When Bart Lappin came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Manchester Devils fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bart Lappin couldn't finish the play. 68 minutes into the match, GKS Diament's goal looked a bit too open when Bart Lappin came free, but Fitz Parkinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Sacha Kerr got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fitz Parkinson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dion Cross in the 73rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester Devils's zone, Gavin Snowdon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dominik Hunter came out of the goal and Gavin Snowdon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dion Cross charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dion Cross the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Manchester Devils's Dominik Hunter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Manchester Devils from getting a goal against them. Fitz Parkinson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sacha Kerr in the 92nd minute of the match. If Gavin Snowdon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sacha Kerr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Manchester Devils had won after a very even match.
