Jeff Armitage could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Patrick Housham made a huge save. Nathan Partridge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Willingale Hotspur F.C.'s Ritchie Croft got a free kick in the 27th minute. If Nathan Partridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the game, Martin Snowdon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Patrick Housham was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as The Hungry Toads's Martin Snowdon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Patrick Housham. That made the score 3-0 after 42 minutes of play. Patrick Housham made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Jeff Armitage sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martin Snowdon was the one to do the kick off. Martin Snowdon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Housham having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Martin Snowdon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patrick Housham was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Martin Snowdon scored 4-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patrick Housham, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Nathan Partridge sped through Willingale Hotspur F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Patrick Housham. Patrick Housham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Snowdon, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Willingale Hotspur F.C.'s Patrick Housham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeff Armitage in the 71st minute of play. If Jeff Armitage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Willingale Hotspur F.C. defense, Nathan Partridge kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrick Housham. The Willingale Hotspur F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrick Housham should have stopped the shot. If Nathan Partridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Snowdon in the 86th minute of play forced Willingale Hotspur F.C.'s goalkeeper Patrick Housham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. The Hungry Toads fully deserved thier win.
