Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Beckton's Drew Merrill started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marc Broom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stuart Ferdinand having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Drew Merrill kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Stuart Ferdinand. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. After 9 played minutes Oskar FC got a freekick which was hit by Neil Whitford. Pierce Bennett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from CJ Willets in the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th match minute, Oskar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by CJ Willets to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Oskar FC's goalkeeper Stuart Ferdinand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marc Broom. After a rather tough play, Beckton's Russell Brownlow got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 22 played minutes Beckton got a freekick which was hit by Jay Beale. After some careless play in the Beckton defense, Neil Whitford kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pierce Bennett. The Beckton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pierce Bennett should have stopped the shot. In the 28th minute, Nial Blewitt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Oskar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Drew Merrill came free, but Stuart Ferdinand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Beckton's goal looked a bit too open when Bobby Lobb came free, but Pierce Bennett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Beckton fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! Pierce Bennett went to the wrong direction when Tony Bibby was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Cody Adams had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pierce Bennett. Beckton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cody Adams was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Oskar FC's CJ Willets got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 44 minutes, Neil Whitford managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oskar FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Neil Whitford was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell CJ Willets to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, CJ Willets dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pierce Bennett, 1-4. 55 minutes into the game, Bobby Lobb cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Pierce Bennett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Marc Broom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Beckton's goal looked a bit too open when Neil Whitford came free, but Pierce Bennett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beckton's Pierce Bennett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Beckton from getting a goal against them. Pierce Bennett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cody Adams in the 65th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Bobby Lobb notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Beckton's Pierce Bennett. Pierce Bennett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cody Adams could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Pierce Bennett made a huge save. Russell Brownlow's late challenge caught a Oskar FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Russell Brownlow helped the player get up and apologised. After 70 played minutes Beckton got a freekick which was hit by Russell Brownlow. Pierce Bennett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil Whitford in the 74th minute of the match. Pierce Bennett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bobby Lobb, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Cody Adams took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Pierce Bennett to make any attempt to save it. Nial Blewitt struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Stuart Ferdinand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beckton. Beckton's Pierce Bennett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Beckton from getting a goal against them. Pierce Bennett made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Cody Adams sent off a good shot on target. Pierce Bennett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neil Whitford in the 90th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bobby Lobb got free with Pierce Bennett in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Bobby Lobb's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pierce Bennett was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Pierce Bennett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bobby Lobb in the 95th minute.
