Erik Wennerqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Galacticos's goal looked a bit too open when Johnnie Swinscoe came free, but Honorato Jeraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Vince Craven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Des Conway kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Vince Craven recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Honorato Jeraldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Den Sargent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erik Wennerqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rueben Higgins having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Galacticos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sol Hargraves to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th match minute, The Glass Cannon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Brighton to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erik Wennerqvist was the one to do the kick off. After 74 played minutes The Glass Cannon got a freekick which was hit by Martyn Rooney. Ruben Brighton kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johnnie Swinscoe got free with Honorato Jeraldo in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Galacticos had won after a very even match.
