Spectators: 7550 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Russ Maxwell took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ruben Brighton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Tommy Ellis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Ruben Brighton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 11th minute by Deon Ellerton got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ed Goldthorpe hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Manchester Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Johnnie Swinscoe came free, but Tommy Ellis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Vince Craven cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tommy Ellis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Deon Ellerton struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Rueben Higgins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester Devils. After 40 minutes, Kieran Sullivan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Glass Cannon and the Manchester Devils players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for The Glass Cannon! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

51 minutes into the game, Vince Craven recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tommy Ellis. Vince Craven showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. If Johnnie Swinscoe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ralf Cowling took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rueben Higgins. Rueben Higgins dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 59th minute Tyler Notley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rueben Higgins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Tyler Notley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rueben Higgins. The Glass Cannon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tyler Notley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. If Ruben Brighton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Ellis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnnie Swinscoe, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 71 minutes, Ruben Brighton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Glass Cannon and the Manchester Devils players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Deon Ellerton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rueben Higgins was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in The Glass Cannon's zone, Tyler Notley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rueben Higgins came out of the goal and Tyler Notley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Russ Maxwell hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Vince Craven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rueben Higgins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Russ Maxwell in the 89th minute of the match. Ralf Cowling blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rueben Higgins having to make a save. In the 92nd minute, Manchester Devils's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Johnnie Swinscoe fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
