Beckton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Legia the free kick. In the 7th match minute, Beckton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc Broom to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute of the match, CJ Brady tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pierce Bennett saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Callum Workman fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beckton's protests and gave Callum Workman a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Legia booed when Beckton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Callum Workman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Drew Merrill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Beckton's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when CJ Brady scored to the left of an out of position Pierce Bennett, making the score, 2-0. Beckton's Pierce Bennett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Wardle in the 29th minute of play. Legia's Tom Connett shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 30th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Pierce Bennett but with some difficulty. In the 42nd minute, Isaac Longstaffe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute of the match Jay Beale shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Trev Fitter showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Beckton's Marc Broom got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CJ Brady received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pierce Bennett came out and tried to block the shot, but CJ Brady slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Drew Merrill made the kick off in the second half. Isaac Longstaffe kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Beckton's Drew Merrill sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trev Fitter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Trev Fitter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Drew Merrill, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Leo Freeman charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leo Freeman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Legia getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Leo Freeman hit a great ball. Legia's Trev Fitter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Drew Merrill in the 62nd minute of play. In the 65th minute, one of Beckton:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Beckton. Jay Beale kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Trev Fitter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marc Broom in the 71st minute. Nial Blewitt might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Trev Fitter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nial Blewitt ran back to his position shaking his head. Marc Broom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Trev Fitter made a huge save. In the 74th minute, Michael Wardle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marc Broom struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Trev Fitter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beckton. Brendon Coton hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Michael Wardle hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Beckton's Nial Blewitt got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Phil Blowman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Pierce Bennett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beckton's Pierce Bennett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Freeman in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute, CJ Brady left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Legia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. If Marc Broom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Legia's goalkeeper Trev Fitter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marc Broom. In the 100th match minute, Legia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Wardle to maneuver through the defense. In the 102nd minute of the match Beckton got a corner. Legia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jay Beale ran over to the corner to take the kick.
