The Washinkai Warriors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Calvin Clark hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute, Johnnie Swinscoe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Washinkai Warriors's zone, Vince Craven stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richie Postolan came out of the goal and Vince Craven tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rueben Higgins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joe Kendall, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Joe Kendall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rueben Higgins. The Glass Cannon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joe Kendall was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nath Hickson in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rueben Higgins saved The Glass Cannon from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Johnnie Swinscoe managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Glass Cannon's supporters rose to their feet, but Johnnie Swinscoe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richie Postolan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vince Craven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richie Postolan having to interfere. Vince Craven came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Richie Postolan could save by the left post. The Glass Cannon's Rueben Higgins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nath Hickson in the 28th minute of play. After 29 played minutes The Glass Cannon got a freekick which was hit by Garth Bowden. In the 29th minute, Joe Kendall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind The Glass Cannon's goalkeeper Rueben Higgins, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nath Hickson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Calvin Clark's late challenge caught a The Glass Cannon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Calvin Clark helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Calvin Clark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nath Hickson to make the kick off. 61 minutes into the match, The Glass Cannon's goalkeeper Rueben Higgins had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nath Hickson. Richie Postolan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vince Craven, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Glass Cannon's Rueben Higgins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save The Glass Cannon from getting a goal against them. Garth Bowden kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Rueben Higgins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nath Hickson in the 78th minute of the match. Calvin Clark kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. When Garth Bowden fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Glass Cannon's protests and gave Garth Bowden a yellow card for diving instead. Garth Bowden kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Washinkai Warriors's Nath Hickson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rueben Higgins. Rueben Higgins yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Garth Bowden kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Nath Hickson struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Rueben Higgins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Washinkai Warriors. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Glass Cannon's goalkeeper Rueben Higgins, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Washinkai Warriors supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Washinkai Warriors would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
