Legia's Trev Fitter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vern Southgate in the 22nd minute of play. Josh Wilmott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Czeladzianie's Greg Holbrook quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Brendon Coton, made in the 25th minute of the game. The supporters of Legia booed when Czeladzianie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Greg Holbrook didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niall Beasley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phil Blowman in the 26th minute of the match. Vern Southgate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trev Fitter having to interfere. Phil Blowman took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niall Beasley. Niall Beasley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Leo Freeman took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niall Beasley. Vern Southgate could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Trev Fitter made a huge save. A collision led to Czeladzianie getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Josh Wilmott hit a great ball. The referee showed Michael Wardle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st minute, Michael Wardle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niall Beasley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phil Blowman, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 48thth minute of the game Vern Southgate who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Legia's Trev Fitter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vern Southgate was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Frazer Clayton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Czeladzianie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frazer Clayton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vern Southgate in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trev Fitter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vern Southgate in the 61st minute of play forced Legia's goalkeeper Trev Fitter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rdth minute of the game Vern Southgate who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Legia's Trev Fitter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vern Southgate in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Trev Fitter was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 72nd minute Vern Southgate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trev Fitter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Josh Wilmott left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Czeladzianie fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. In the 76thth minute of the game Vern Southgate who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Legia's Trev Fitter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Vern Southgate sped through Legia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Trev Fitter. When Josh Wilmott came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Czeladzianie fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josh Wilmott couldn't finish the play. Niall Beasley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Wardle in the 85th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Vern Southgate put it in 5-2 from a short distance just to the right of Trev Fitter. Legia's Trev Fitter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vern Southgate in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute Vern Southgate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trev Fitter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frazer Clayton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Czeladzianie were the better team. Czeladzianie's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
