In the 7th minute, Dylan Harris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dylan Harris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Terry Longthorn took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Denzil Brazier. Everton's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stuart Osbourn in the 16th minute of play forced Everton's goalkeeper Denzil Brazier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oliver Foley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Oliver Foley sped through THFC Youth Academy's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kevin Tonkin. Pete Silk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Tonkin having to interfere. Kevin Tonkin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oliver Foley's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stuart Osbourn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The THFC Youth Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kevin Tonkin should have stopped the shot. If Oliver Foley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oliver Foley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Kevin Tonkin made a huge save. Denzil Brazier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rupert Courtney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rod Summers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everton's Jeremy Fitter got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Oliver Foley came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Everton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliver Foley couldn't finish the play. Alex Blower hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After having played for 81 minutes, Rupert Courtney managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. THFC Youth Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rupert Courtney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Rod Summers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kevin Tonkin was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. 88 minutes into the match, Rod Summers dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kevin Tonkin, 1-3. Everton's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
