Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Everton's Oliver Foley started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rueben Higgins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oliver Foley in the 10th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Den Sargent was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Glass Cannon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Everton the free kick. After a rather tough play, The Glass Cannon's Den Sargent got a free kick in the 13th minute. The supporters of The Glass Cannon booed when Everton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rod Summers didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th match minute, The Glass Cannon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnnie Swinscoe to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Oliver Foley reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rueben Higgins. The goal made the score 2-0. If Rod Summers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Johnnie Swinscoe came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the The Glass Cannon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnnie Swinscoe couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd minute, Oliver Foley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruben Brighton kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Vince Craven made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vince Craven got free with Denzil Brazier in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johnnie Swinscoe got free with Denzil Brazier in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vince Craven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johnnie Swinscoe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denzil Brazier having to interfere. With his leg Denzil Brazier managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when The Glass Cannon's Vince Craven fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rod Summers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Johnnie Swinscoe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Denzil Brazier. Everton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Johnnie Swinscoe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Everton's zone, Ruben Brighton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denzil Brazier came out of the goal and Ruben Brighton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vince Craven got free with Denzil Brazier in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Vince Craven came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the The Glass Cannon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vince Craven couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Everton fans cheered their team off the field, for while The Glass Cannon had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
