Spectators: 8007 (Terracing: 6007, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. CJ Brady started the match with the kick off. Rupert Courtney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Trev Fitter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kevin Tonkin made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Phil Blowman sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Legia getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Michael Wardle hit a great ball. Rupert Courtney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Trev Fitter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Stuart Osbourn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trev Fitter was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 17th minute Stuart Osbourn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trev Fitter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Legia's Trev Fitter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rupert Courtney in the 18th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Legia's CJ Brady slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kevin Tonkin. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Legia's Isaac Longstaffe got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 25 played minutes, THFC Youth Academy's Rod Gill shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Trev Fitter came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in THFC Youth Academy reached it. In the 27th minute, CJ Brady got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 30 played minutes Legia got a freekick which was hit by CJ Brady. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rupert Courtney in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trev Fitter saved Legia from getting behind. 38 minutes into the game, CJ Brady recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kevin Tonkin. CJ Brady showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The supporters of THFC Youth Academy booed when Legia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Freeman didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stuart Osbourn made a kick off. Trev Fitter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stuart Osbourn in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute Phil Blowman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Tonkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute CJ Brady shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Tonkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Stuart Osbourn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CJ Brady sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Phil Blowman in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kevin Tonkin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 70 minutes into the game, Alexander Bolton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. THFC Youth Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Legia the free kick. Leo Freeman charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leo Freeman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Legia getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Leo Freeman hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Legia's zone, Rod Gill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trev Fitter came out of the goal and Rod Gill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Trev Fitter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rupert Courtney in the 76th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stuart Osbourn in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trev Fitter saved Legia from getting behind. In the 81st minute, Legia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rupert Courtney fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 87th minute CJ Brady shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Tonkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 91 minutes of play, Legia's Phil Blowman made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kevin Tonkin was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers CJ Brady in the 99th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kevin Tonkin saved THFC Youth Academy from getting behind. Legia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
