Bouvine FC's Al Ansell got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Bouvine FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Michael Basham hit a great ball. Ralf Picker kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Wally Holdcroft didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Yarmouth Celtic's Crispin Tabb shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. 28 minutes into the game, Al Ansell recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ruben Lynam. Al Ansell showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Ruben Lynam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Hutchinson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ralf Picker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Darren Fry hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. If Al Ansell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wally Holdcroft made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Crispin Tabb in the 45th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Al Ansell was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Al Ansell notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Yarmouth Celtic's Ruben Lynam. Ruben Lynam was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nicky Togwell's late challenge caught a Bouvine FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicky Togwell helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th minute, Nicky Togwell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Al Ansell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Lynam having to interfere. In the 71st match minute, Bouvine FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Basham to maneuver through the defense. Bouvine FC's Wally Holdcroft proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Bouvine FC from getting a goal against them. When Simon Hutchinson came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Bouvine FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Hutchinson couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Yarmouth Celtic's Rufus Sheehan got a free kick in the 85th minute. Crispin Tabb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Michael Basham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Bouvine FC's zone, Crispin Tabb stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wally Holdcroft came out of the goal and Crispin Tabb tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Yarmouth Celtic players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bouvine FC.
