Pat Chalmers made in the 8th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sheringham AFC's Ged Blackwell. Den Allott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darryl Henry, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Jim Ainge hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Spike Day struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Den Allott didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Durham City. Den Allott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Austen Tabb, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Jim Ainge was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sheringham AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Durham City the free kick. In the 18th minute, Jim Ainge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durham City's Ross Dines shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 20th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Den Allott but with some difficulty. In the 21st minute Darryl Henry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Den Allott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Den Allott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darryl Henry in the 22nd minute of play. Den Allott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Mason, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Den Allott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darryl Henry in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darryl Henry in the 30th minute of play forced Sheringham AFC's goalkeeper Den Allott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sheringham AFC's zone, Darryl Henry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Den Allott came out of the goal and Darryl Henry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th match minute, Durham City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Austen Tabb to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Austen Tabb reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Den Allott. The goal made the score 1-0. Den Allott was a little too slow when Johnny Mason got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicholas Bennett to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Andre Hellen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Den Allott was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Den Allott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnny Mason in the 61st minute of play. Sheringham AFC's Den Allott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andre Hellen in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of Durham City booed when Sheringham AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Callum Banks didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Sheringham AFC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Callum Banks hit a great ball. Den Allott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darryl Henry, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Den Allott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Austen Tabb in the 69th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sheringham AFC's Jim Ainge got a free kick in the 70th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andre Hellen in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Den Allott prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sheringham AFC's Den Allott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darryl Henry in the 73rd minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Durham City players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
