Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Stan Cain made the kick off and thus started the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Lewis Rigg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Exeter's supporters rose to their feet, but Lewis Rigg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Wilson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Martin Wilson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lewis Rigg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jack Stayton to strike the kick off in the second half. Ashley Pearch kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. When Jack Stayton, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 56 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Kevin Watson was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Lewis Rigg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Martin Wilson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 played minutes Exeter got a freekick which was hit by Pete Cooper.
