Spectators: 8061 (Terracing: 6055, Seating: 1856, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Stewart Probert started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Wirral Town FC's zone, Ozzy Bridge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tod Ingram came out of the goal and Ozzy Bridge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 9 played minutes Wirral Town FC got a freekick which was hit by Geoff Sadler. Feliciano Artaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stewart Probert, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 18th minute of the game Geoff Sadler made a throw-in which Darius Bailey played forward. After 20 minutes of play, Wirral Town FC's Stewart Probert made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Feliciano Artaldo was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Cityzens's Feliciano Artaldo got control of the ball when Stewart Probert tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 25 minutes, Ozzy Bridge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cityzens's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ozzy Bridge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ozzy Bridge fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cityzens's protests and gave Ozzy Bridge a yellow card for diving instead. Ozzy Bridge kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Ozzy Bridge might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tod Ingram. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ozzy Bridge ran back to his position shaking his head. Feliciano Artaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stewart Locke in the 44th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ozzy Bridge to make the kick off. A collision led to Wirral Town FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Geoff Sadler hit a great ball. 52 minutes into the match, Ozzy Bridge dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tod Ingram, 2-1. 55 minutes into the game, Stewart Locke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Feliciano Artaldo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ozzy Bridge blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tod Ingram having to make a save. If Darius Bailey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Stewart Locke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wirral Town FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Feliciano Artaldo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stewart Locke went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stewart Locke in the 91st minute of play forced Cityzens's goalkeeper Feliciano Artaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the game, Augusto Cardozo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cityzens's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wirral Town FC the free kick. In the 94th match minute, Cityzens was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Cardozo to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Wirral Town FC had played much better football throughout.
