Wes Hurren started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Fakenham's goal looked a bit too open when Nathanial Thorne came free, but Kristopher Rowell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute, Tom Whitmore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tom Whitmore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Kristopher Rowell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Muswell Hill's Vern Wadham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wes Hurren in the 20th minute of play. After some careless play in the Muswell Hill defense, Wes Hurren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vern Wadham. The Muswell Hill fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vern Wadham should have stopped the shot. Wes Hurren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Vern Wadham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Muswell Hill's Vern Wadham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rupert Barton in the 32nd minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Fakenham's goal looked a bit too open when Nathanial Thorne came free, but Kristopher Rowell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tom Whitmore could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Kristopher Rowell made a huge save. 45 minutes into the match, Muswell Hill's goal looked a bit too open when Johnnie Roche came free, but Vern Wadham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Harris kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nathanial Thorne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Fakenham's Johnnie Roche ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vern Wadham. Vern Wadham yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Wes Hurren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vern Wadham. That made the score 0-4 in the 58 minute of play. In the 62nd minute Tom Whitmore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristopher Rowell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Tom Whitmore made a precise shot to the right of Kristopher Rowell. Fakenham's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. In the 68th minute, Rupert Barton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vern Wadham. The goal made the score 1-5. 78 minutes in the game, Rupert Barton fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vern Wadham having to interfere. Kristopher Rowell came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Muswell Hill's Tom Whitmore. But to his dismay, Tom Whitmore quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. Kristopher Rowell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathanial Thorne in the 84th minute of play. Vern Wadham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnnie Roche in the 88th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Muswell Hill's goalkeeper Vern Wadham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wes Hurren. In the 92nd minute Johnnie Roche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vern Wadham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vern Wadham made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Wes Hurren sent off a good shot on target. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fakenham walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
