Nicholas Bennett started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathanial Thorne in the 10th minute of play forced Sheringham AFC's goalkeeper Den Allott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 minutes of play, Sheringham AFC's Nicholas Bennett made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vern Wadham was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicholas Bennett got free with Vern Wadham in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nath Steed hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute Nathanial Thorne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Den Allott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Muswell Hill fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Muswell Hill's Nathanial Thorne looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lloyd Cartwright kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After 46 played minutes Sheringham AFC got a freekick which was hit by Stew Elliott. Den Allott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jude Meade in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half Muswell Hill were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nathanial Thorne was the one to do the kick off. Ged Blackwell kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Den Allott made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nath Steed in the 55th minute. Nath Steed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Muswell Hill booed when Sheringham AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Callum Banks didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Sheringham AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Nathanial Thorne came free, but Den Allott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Muswell Hill's Vern Wadham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicholas Bennett in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Sheringham AFC booed when Muswell Hill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darryl Heath didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicholas Bennett in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vern Wadham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68th minute Nicholas Bennett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vern Wadham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nathanial Thorne blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Den Allott having to make a save. Nath Steed fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Den Allott having to interfere. Nath Steed could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Den Allott made a huge save. Ed Pell kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Sheringham AFC's Den Allott proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Sheringham AFC from getting a goal against them.
