F.C North's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martyn Warden was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Matty Higginson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nath Crichton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 minutes of play, Kestelburn Village's Rodney Sheldon made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matty Higginson was left in no man's land by his defense there! F.C North's Matty Higginson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martyn Warden in the 18th minute of play. Matty Higginson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodney Sheldon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, F.C North's Alfie Senior got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute Rodney Sheldon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matty Higginson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the F.C North defense, Martyn Warden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matty Higginson. The F.C North fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matty Higginson should have stopped the shot. Kestelburn Village's Craig Oates played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martyn Ginn in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, Kestelburn Village was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martyn Warden to maneuver through the defense. F.C North's Matty Higginson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfie Fawell in the 34th minute of play. Matty Higginson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martyn Warden, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After a defensive mix-up in F.C North's zone, Kevin Beech stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matty Higginson came out of the goal and Kevin Beech tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matty Higginson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodney Sheldon in the 38th minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Martyn Warden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, F.C North's goal looked a bit too open when Martyn Warden came free, but Matty Higginson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodney Sheldon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kestelburn Village's Alfie Fawell got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Alfie Fawell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barney Greenwood in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Craig Oates prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 72 played minutes F.C North got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Chambers. Kestelburn Village's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nath Crichton in the 75th minute. Kestelburn Village's Nath Crichton was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Matty Higginson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 84th minute Martyn Warden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matty Higginson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kestelburn Village's Alfie Fawell got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, F.C North's goalkeeper Matty Higginson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodney Sheldon. F.C North's Matty Higginson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save F.C North from getting a goal against them. In the 96th match minute, F.C North was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Sharpe to maneuver through the defense. Kestelburn Village's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
