Liam Ackland started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Jimmy Dickens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piers Bowe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Osbourne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Piers Bowe made a huge save. Piers Bowe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Mallon in the 12th minute of the match. With a little luck, Cardiff City's Piers Bowe got control of the ball when Frank Osbourne tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Victor Mallon sped through Cardiff City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Piers Bowe. Piers Bowe was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Frank Osbourne capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Frank Osbourne really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Victor Mallon succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 24th playminute. Victor Mallon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 30 minutes in the game, Victor Mallon fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Piers Bowe having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Barca's Frank Osbourne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Piers Bowe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Piers Bowe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aquiles Luar in the 36th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Barca's Aquiles Luar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Piers Bowe. That made the score 5-0 after 37 minutes of play. In the 41st minute, Barca's Aquiles Luar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 6-0. Victor Mallon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Piers Bowe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Osbourne made a kick off. Cardiff City's Piers Bowe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Mallon in the 52nd minute of play. Frank Osbourne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aquiles Luar scored 7-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Piers Bowe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 69 minutes, Lenny Sedgemore mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cardiff City and the Barca players grew even worse after the yellow card. Piers Bowe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Osbourne in the 87th minute of play. Barca's Frank Osbourne got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Cardiff City's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Osbourne came free, but Piers Bowe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Barca had played much better football throughout.
