Rich Kerr ran back to his position shaking his head. Jeffrey Hindmarsh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonny French, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute, Frankie Thorn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Kidd in the 12th minute of play forced Monte Castro FC's goalkeeper Jeffrey Hindmarsh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeffrey Hindmarsh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clive Marriott in the 15th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 15 minutes into the game, when Marlon Fieldwick put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Monte Castro FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! After a rather tough play, Monte Castro FC's Marty Coogan got a free kick in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marty Coogan in the 34th minute of play forced Piqnicite's goalkeeper Alfred Deacon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Monte Castro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Clive Marriott came free, but Jeffrey Hindmarsh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frankie Thorn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeffrey Hindmarsh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Mortimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Clive Marriott notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Monte Castro FC's Jeffrey Hindmarsh. Jeffrey Hindmarsh was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Monte Castro FC's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 46th minute of the game, when Marty Coogan after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Piqnicite's goal. Marty Coogan was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marty Coogan to make the kick off. Monte Castro FC's Jeffrey Hindmarsh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Monte Castro FC from getting a goal against them. Marty Coogan struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Alfred Deacon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monte Castro FC. Jeffrey Hindmarsh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonny French, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Jeffrey Hindmarsh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dave Mortimer in the 68th minute. In the 73rd minute, Tim Kidd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Piqnicite's Tim Kidd got a free kick in the 77th minute. Marty Coogan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfred Deacon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. After having played for 81 minutes, Frankie Thorn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monte Castro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frankie Thorn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Frankie Thorn came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Monte Castro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frankie Thorn couldn't finish the play. Alfred Deacon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty Coogan in the 90th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Monte Castro FC's Derek Simpson got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
