Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Liam Ackland took the kick off in the first half of the match. Mathias Terpstra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Piers Bowe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Ruben Folan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Piers Bowe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Piers Bowe came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Husbands's Damian Meadowcroft. But to his dismay, Damian Meadowcroft quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Kieran Barfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piers Bowe having to interfere. Piers Bowe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Meadowcroft, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Piers Bowe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erubiel Ignazio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Piers Bowe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Terpstra in the 22nd minute of play. After 22 played minutes Cardiff City got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Carpenter. In the 25th minute, Ted Grantham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 30 played minutes Cardiff City got a freekick which was hit by Roger Redwood-Turner. Piers Bowe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Meadowcroft in the 34th minute of play. Cardiff City's Piers Bowe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Terpstra in the 37th minute of play. Marek Coote charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marek Coote the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Ted Grantham came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Cardiff City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ted Grantham couldn't finish the play. Hugh Rashleigh hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

Cardiff City's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mathias Terpstra 53 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. In the 59th minute Ruben Folan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piers Bowe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias Terpstra in the 60th minute of play forced Cardiff City's goalkeeper Piers Bowe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruben Folan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Piers Bowe firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 67th minute Mathias Terpstra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piers Bowe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Piers Bowe was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mathias Terpstra showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 70 minute of play. Erubiel Ignazio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Piers Bowe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Cardiff City's goalkeeper Piers Bowe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dylon Beswetherick. Cardiff City's Piers Bowe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erubiel Ignazio in the 83rd minute of play. Damian Meadowcroft sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Mathias Terpstra took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Piers Bowe to make any attempt to save it. In the 94th minute, Mathias Terpstra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Husbands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
