But to his dismay, David Gettins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Paddy Carpenter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonny French, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. A collision led to FC ZUPANY getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Alistair Bird hit a great ball. After 19 played minutes, Piqnicite's Rich Kerr shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paddy Carpenter came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Piqnicite reached it. A collision led to Piqnicite getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Joel Brodie hit a great ball. Doug West received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Alfred Deacon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfred Deacon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jasper Rawson, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. David Gettins kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonny French made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Piqnicite's zone, Jasper Rawson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfred Deacon came out of the goal and Jasper Rawson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 56 minutes into the match, Piqnicite's goal looked a bit too open when David Gettins came free, but Alfred Deacon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dave Mortimer during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. FC ZUPANY's Darius Byfield couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 59th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Piqnicite. David Gettins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Deacon having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Piqnicite's Joel Brodie got a free kick in the 61st minute. After a rather tough play, Piqnicite's Dave Mortimer got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 67 minutes Piqnicite's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Darius Byfield who took care of the corner kick. After 67 minutes, Barrie Amos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC ZUPANY and the Piqnicite players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th match minute, FC ZUPANY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barrie Amos to maneuver through the defense. David Gettins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st play minute Jasper Rawson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alfred Deacon. 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Gettins in the 76th minute of play forced Piqnicite's goalkeeper Alfred Deacon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC ZUPANY's David Gettins got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Gettins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Deacon having to interfere. When the match was over FC ZUPANY could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Piqnicite throughout the match.
