Alfred Deacon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Liam Ackland came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Cardiff City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liam Ackland couldn't finish the play. Ralph Blowman kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The supporters of Piqnicite booed when Cardiff City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristian Carpenter didn't get a good kick on the ball. The wind increased when Liam Ackland made the kick off in the second half. Liam Ackland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Piqnicite's zone, Ted Grantham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfred Deacon came out of the goal and Ted Grantham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute Jonny French shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piers Bowe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Piers Bowe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tim Kidd in the 94th minute of play. In the 94thth minute of the game Tim Kidd who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cardiff City's Piers Bowe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cardiff City succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Piqnicite had controlled the match.
