Spectators: 5070 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1050, VIP seats: 20) Monte Castro FC's Gaz Hardwick started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Monte Castro FC booed when FC ZUPANY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doug West didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doug West's late challenge caught a Monte Castro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doug West helped the player get up and apologised. Doug West kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Jeffrey Hindmarsh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jasper Rawson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 minutes, Gaz Hardwick mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monte Castro FC and the FC ZUPANY players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jeffrey Hindmarsh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jasper Rawson in the 22nd minute of the match. Jeffrey Hindmarsh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doug West in the 23rd minute of play. Gaz Hardwick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paddy Carpenter having to interfere. Archie Land received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Jeffrey Hindmarsh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Derek Simpson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeffrey Hindmarsh came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC ZUPANY's Doug West. But to his dismay, Doug West quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jeffrey Hindmarsh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Gettins's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Gettins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Monte Castro FC's Jeffrey Hindmarsh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Gettins in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Gettins in the 59th minute of play forced Monte Castro FC's goalkeeper Jeffrey Hindmarsh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd match minute, Monte Castro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reggie Younger to maneuver through the defense. FC ZUPANY's Darius Byfield got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jasper Rawson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Jeffrey Hindmarsh made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doug West got free with Jeffrey Hindmarsh in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute, Marlon Fieldwick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC ZUPANY's David Gettins got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of FC ZUPANY booed when Monte Castro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kyle Jenas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute, Gaz Hardwick left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monte Castro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Frankie Thorn struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Paddy Carpenter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monte Castro FC.
