Alfred Deacon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damian Meadowcroft went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Meadowcroft in the 12th minute of play forced Piqnicite's goalkeeper Alfred Deacon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20thth minute of the game Mathias Terpstra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piqnicite's Alfred Deacon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clive Marriott in the 21st minute of play forced Husbands's goalkeeper Charles Hurst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Husbands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erubiel Ignazio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mathias Terpstra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Deacon having to interfere. Damian Meadowcroft blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfred Deacon having to make a save. Mathias Terpstra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 34 minutes, Ruben Folan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Husbands and the Piqnicite players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marek Coote received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Alfred Deacon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tim Kidd charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tim Kidd the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Damian Meadowcroft made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Damian Meadowcroft made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathias Terpstra couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Piqnicite's Clive Marriott got a free kick in the 68th minute. When Damian Meadowcroft came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Husbands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Meadowcroft couldn't finish the play. Husbands's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruben Folan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfred Deacon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute, Mathias Terpstra made a precise shot to the right of Alfred Deacon. Piqnicite's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Piqnicite's Alfred Deacon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Terpstra in the 92nd minute of play. Erubiel Ignazio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfred Deacon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Terpstra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Husbands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Piqnicite.
