Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Marc Mayall started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Russell Ferdinand got a throw-in 5 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Marc Mayall. After having played for 8 minutes, Lucas Jump managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leyton Orient's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Jump was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ben Brayson hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Kristian Middleton might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Gardner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kristian Middleton ran back to his position shaking his head. After 21 played minutes Leyton Orient got a freekick which was hit by David Carsley. Russell Ferdinand recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Lucas Jump managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leyton Orient's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Jump was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Gardner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Gardner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alec Callery in the 28th minute of play. After 30 minutes, Gerry Langford mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blandford Forum and the Leyton Orient players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Blandford Forum's Gerry Langford got a free kick in the 31st minute. 35 minutes into the match, Leyton Orient's goalkeeper Orson Sharp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marc Mayall. Alec Callery fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Gardner having to interfere. Pedro Gardner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristian Middleton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Kristian Middleton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Leyton Orient's Kristian Middleton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Gardner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucas Jump stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alec Callery recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Gardner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kristian Middleton in the 70th minute. Alec Callery scored 0-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Gardner, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Leyton Orient's zone, Marc Mayall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orson Sharp came out of the goal and Marc Mayall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute, Louie Tolley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blandford Forum's Pedro Gardner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Blandford Forum from getting a goal against them. If Kristian Middleton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute Kristian Middleton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Gardner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Leyton Orient left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Blandford Forum.
