Spectators: 7993 (Terracing: 5996, Seating: 1838, VIP seats: 159) Lenny Hutchins started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7th minute of the match Howard Hardwick sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ruben Guest skillfully saved the ball. FC Metal's Richie Kennedy got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodney Rocastle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Toby Browne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richie Kennedy's late challenge caught a Boscastle's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richie Kennedy helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, Richie Kennedy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gary Brown came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the FC Metal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gary Brown couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, FC Metal's Tony Heremans got a free kick in the 17th minute. Zackary Page fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Guest having to interfere. Tony Heremans kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute of the match Howard Hardwick shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ruben Guest showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Boscastle's Gavin Hampshire got a free kick in the 27th minute. After having played for 29 minutes, Richie Kennedy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Metal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richie Kennedy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Toby Browne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodney Rocastle in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Boscastle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thom Falkingham to maneuver through the defense. Lawrence Tyler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toby Browne having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Gary Brown got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Metal's Gary Brown got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, Zackary Page was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boscastle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Metal the free kick. In the 40th minute, Zackary Page hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Richie Kennedy, 40 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Toby Browne was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Lawrence Tyler capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lawrence Tyler really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 46 played minutes Boscastle got a freekick which was hit by Dominik Blake. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Richie Kennedy made the kick off in the second half. Dominik Blake could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Ruben Guest made a huge save. Toby Browne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lawrence Tyler, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Boscastle's Toby Browne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lawrence Tyler in the 59th minute of play. In the 62ndth minute of the game Richie Kennedy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boscastle's Toby Browne was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Richie Kennedy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toby Browne was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 70th match minute, Boscastle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thom Falkingham to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richie Kennedy in the 72nd minute of play forced Boscastle's goalkeeper Toby Browne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toby Browne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richie Kennedy in the 74th minute of play.
