Billie Morse came free with the goalkeeper in the 5th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Martyn English could save by the left post. Canterbury's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Billie Morse 5 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Dylon Lane's late challenge caught a Smallfield FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dylon Lane helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, Canterbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dylon Lane to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Smallfield FC's Calvin Hardcastle broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jamie Dobson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blair Griffin, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. A collision led to Smallfield FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Calvin Hardcastle hit a great ball. Jamie Dobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blair Griffin in the 22nd minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, Smallfield FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Pilkington to maneuver through the defense. Martyn English showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calvin Hardcastle, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. With a little luck, Canterbury's Martyn English got control of the ball when Billie Morse tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martyn English made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Billie Morse sent off a good shot on target. 35 minutes into the match, Smallfield FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ryan Woolcock came free, but Jamie Dobson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jamie Dobson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blair Griffin, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Blair Griffin scored 1-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jamie Dobson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jamie Dobson came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Canterbury's Ruben Mellon. But to his dismay, Ruben Mellon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 46 minutes into the match, Canterbury's goalkeeper Martyn English had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Billie Morse. After a rather tough play, Canterbury's Philip Pitman got a free kick in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ryan Woolcock to make the kick off. Ruben Mellon took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jamie Dobson. Jamie Dobson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 55th minute, Canterbury's Ruben Mellon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jamie Dobson. Jamie Dobson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. In the 60th minute, Billie Morse ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martyn English was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. 63 minutes into the match, Blair Griffin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jamie Dobson, 2-6. Martyn English made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calvin Hardcastle in the 68th minute of play. Martyn English showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Billie Morse in the 69th minute of the match. Martyn English took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calvin Hardcastle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Canterbury's Ryan Woolcock shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 73rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jamie Dobson but with some difficulty. With a little luck, Smallfield FC's Jamie Dobson got control of the ball when Ruben Mellon tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blair Griffin got free with Jamie Dobson in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calvin Hardcastle in the 89th minute of play forced Canterbury's goalkeeper Martyn English to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Billie Morse had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martyn English. Canterbury's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Billie Morse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-7. Garth Atkinson kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Martyn English took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calvin Hardcastle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
