Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rob Draper took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ron Sharpe's late challenge caught a Skelmersdale's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ron Sharpe helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Big B United getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Ron Sharpe hit a great ball. Andre Ellerton was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Denzil Mulford showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ron Sharpe in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Steven Haugue saved Skelmersdale from getting behind. Denzil Mulford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Andre Ellerton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24thth minute of the game Denzil Mulford who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Big B United's Andre Ellerton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Rob Draper managed to get in a good position for a shot. Big B United's supporters rose to their feet, but Rob Draper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steven Haugue breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denzil Mulford in the 33rd minute of play forced Big B United's goalkeeper Andre Ellerton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Big B United's Nick Featherstone got a free kick in the 36th minute. Andre Ellerton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denzil Mulford in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denzil Mulford in the 45th minute of play forced Big B United's goalkeeper Andre Ellerton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Denzil Mulford was the one to do the kick off. Andre Ellerton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joe Marriott in the 51st minute of play. Adrian Greenwood hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Denzil Mulford took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Andre Ellerton. Big B United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Joe Marriott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Joe Marriott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute Sean Howden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steven Haugue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rob Draper in the 62nd minute of play forced Skelmersdale's goalkeeper Steven Haugue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denzil Mulford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Andre Ellerton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denzil Mulford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Big B United's zone, Joe Marriott stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andre Ellerton came out of the goal and Joe Marriott tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Steven Haugue made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Ron Sharpe sent off a good shot on target. Blair Scholes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Andre Ellerton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Big B United's goal looked a bit too open when Joe Marriott came free, but Andre Ellerton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Jake Gibbs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute Rob Draper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steven Haugue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
